Every year 12,000 young Nepalese women and girls are trafficked across the Nepal/India border into Indian brothels and countries beyond. Eternal Threads is partnering with a local organization to assist in their efforts to prevent this trafficking by providing funding for two manned anti-trafficking border units that are able to rescue as many as 200 girls a month. Eternal Threads also provides vocational training in sewing to both rescued and “at risk” girls in this area. By selling the items they make we are able to provide them with an income that will protect them from further exploitation.
