History of Our Craft

Due to extreme poverty in villages, Nepalese girls and young women are vulnerable to sex trafficking.  In some villages in Nepal, the climate and soil conditions are so difficult that they can only grow enough food for 2 months of the year.  Men from the villages go to India to find work while many women are left at home with their children, unable to support themselves because they lack skills and education. Eternal Threads is providing vocational training in knitting and sewing to “at risk” and rescued young women to protect them from exploitation and give them hope for a better life.
