Who We Are

The work that we do involves countless people who contribute their time and skills.  We want you to know about them and how you might get involved with our work.

ET Team

Linda Egle
Linda Egle, Founder and Executive Director
Linda Egle founded Eternal Threads in the year 2000 after early retirement from a 27-year career as a United Airlines Flight Attendant. However, the vision for the Eternal Threads' mission began in 1988 when she traveled to south India and saw first hand what life was like for women living in extreme poverty and also witnessed their initiative and desire to improve the lives of their families. Eternal Threads was established to give these women sustainable income and skills development training. The first project for Eternal Threads was established in south India with the SOFI tote.

Linda has her B.A. in Home Economics and also a B.S. in Biblical Studies as well as having read Theology at Oriel College, Oxford.

ET Partners

Partnership is one of our core values.  The field partners with whom we work are essential to the process of development.  Their local oversight having cultural, linquistic and geographical expertise is superior to any efforts that we could make on our own.  A relationship of trust is essential to our shared success and we make a reciprocal commitment to support one another and the artisans with whom we work and serve.
